The Ugliest Person in the world is Godfrey Baguma also known as Ssebabi. The 53 year old Uganda national is a shoe maker, comedian and a singer. Ssebabi gained international recognition in 2002 when he entered a competition in Uganda to determine the ugliest person in the country. He won the competition and was recognized as the ugliest man in Uganda and the world at large.
Baguma is said to be the only child of his parents, he was born as a normal person, but while growing up, he started developing tumor in his head. The tumor disfigured his face and made him look ugly.
According to research, Godfrey Baguma is Suffering from what is called Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP). Fibrodysplasia is a rare muskuloskeletal condition that affects the growth and placement of the cells and tissues. Research have not shown the exact cause of this sickness, but it is believe to be due to a chemical defect in specific bone protein, the defect can also be due to gene mutation during child birth. Good news for Godfrey, this sickness can not be transmitted to his Children or families.
